Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives (DEI)
At ICAJ, we recognize the growing importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, especially as the number of foreign residents in Japan continues to rise. We understand that no one is perfect, and at times, people may unintentionally cause harm due to unconscious biases or narrow-minded perceptions. While we may not be able to change everyone, we believe in the power of sharing our voices and experiences to raise awareness and foster understanding.
To further this mission, I have written a book on this very topic, sharing personal insights and practical guidance on addressing bias and promoting inclusivity. My book, Voices Unheard, is available on Amazon here and has been honored with the 2025 Distinguished Favorite Award by the Independent Publisher Award Committee.
At ICAJ, we are committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable community. We plan to host various seminars, speaker sessions, and events to spark important conversations and spread awareness about DEI. Through these initiatives, we hope to empower individuals and organizations to actively engage in fostering a more welcoming and inclusive society.
Together, we can create meaningful change by learning, sharing, and growing.
